Hormones and Essential Oils
  Home
Hormones – they rule our lives, women and men, on a monthly basis and as we age.  I have learned much about the endocrine
system, which produces and regulates our bodies hormones, in the past few years and want to share what I have learned.

Hormones circulate throughout the body in our blood.  Their work is to alter cellular activity – increasing or decreasing the rate
of a normal metabolic process.  Different hormones affect certain cells or organs, which contain hormone-receptor sites.
When these sites become clogged, from ‘pseudo hormones’ found in petrochemicals, airborne and water-born toxins, etc.,
these metabolic processes can be compromised.

The endocrine system includes the following organs:  pituitary, thyroid, parathyroid, adrenals, pancreas, pineal, thymus, and
gonads (ovaries/testes).   The liver is a key organ as well as this is where many of our hormones are metabolized.

My wellness routine includes essential oils, herbal supplements, and other things that support these important organs.

In addition to maintaining a healthy diet, with vitamins and supplements, and regular exercise, I use essential oils to support
my endocrine system and liver.  This way I make plant-based hormones available to my cells and organs.  I especially add
phyto-estrogens and progesterones to my daily routine.   I also try to avoid using products that are made with petrochemicals.

I encourage you to learn as much as you can about the endocrine system, the liver, and hormones as a part of your wellness
journey.  For more information, please check out the references at the end of this information sheet.
