Headaches and Migraines
  Home
I have found that essential oils can be very useful when trying to get rid of headaches.  My favorites are Thieves, Valor,
Lavender, and M-Grain.

  -  Especially recommended for migraines

  -  M-Grain – (marjoram, lavender, peppermint, basil, Roman chamomile, Helichrysum) M-Grain contains oils that have
traditionally been used to treat headaches, nausea, and issues caused by severe migraines.

  -  Aroma Siez – (basil, cypress, marjoram, lavender, peppermint) Blended to relax, and relieve sore and tired muscles,
relieve headaches or charley horses.

  -  Basil

  -  Peppermint – Used traditionally to soothe digestion, this also helps with asthma, fever, hot flashes, headaches, motion
sickness, and more.

For ‘regular’ Headaches:

  -  Helichrysum
  -  Lavender
  -  Marjoram
  -  Peace & Calming
  -  Thieves
  -  Valor

Apply oils to temples, back of neck/brain stem, forehead, and diffuse.  Massage on thumbs and big toes.   Put a couple drops
of M-Grain (can add a drop of Peppermint) in your palm, rub hands together clockwise; then cup hands over your nose and
breathe deeply.  Layer Lavender and Basil on temples and forehead.

Put a drop of Thieves (clove, lemon, cinnamon bark, eucalyptus, rosemary) on your tongue and hold against the roof or the
mouth or put the drop on your finger and rub on roof of mouth.  Thieves has a very ‘hot’ taste.

Several of my friends who suffer from migraines highly recommend M-Grain.  They all say that it does not completely take the
migraine away, but it really cuts the pain and makes it very tolerable.
