Essential Oils and Soft Tissue
  Home
As an avid horsewoman, I frequently find myself with bruises, sprains, tendonitis, and other soft tissue injuries.  Believe me,
when my beautiful 2000 pound draft mare stepped on my foot, I noticed!  That combined with too many hours on the computer
can create many aches and pains.  I have found that using essential oils can cut the healing time dramatically.

Application Information:  My favorite oils for massaging on the sore/bruised area and on the Vita Flex points on the feet are Marjoram, Wintergreen, Lavender, Believe, and PanAway.  For pain relief I massage on Believe, Marjoram, or PanAway.  I also find that massaging oils on my ears is very soothing and relaxing, tense muscles turn to butter.  My favorite
oils for this are
Believe and Lavender, which in addition smell wonderful.

Here are some more suggestions for various soft tissue ailments.  Experiment and find out which ones you like best.
Bruising:  Lavender, Melrose, Cypress, PanAway, Helichrysum alone or in combination.

Sprains/Tendonitis:  Wintergreen, Believe, Basil or Helichrysum and you can combine any of these with Lemongrass,
Lavender, Marjoram, Relieve, It, PanAway, Lemon, Peppermint
to increase the effect.
Muscle:  Marjoram, Believe, Basil, Lavender, Relieve It, Pan Away, Wintergreen.
Spasms:  Marjoram, Aroma Siez.

Ligaments:   Marjoram or Lavender with Lemongrass.

Bone (yes, I know that bones are not soft tissue, but I have bruised bones and find that I use similar oils to massage on the
injured area – remember the 2000 pound mare and my foot!):
Wintergreen, Spruce, Fir, PanAway, Relieve It – on the
location, many times per day.
