Essential Oils for Strenthening
the Immune System
  Home
A healthy immune system is one of my keys to wellness.  I use essential oils as a way of supporting and boosting my immune
system.  Here are some essential oils that I use to help me stay healthy.  At the end, I list the ways that I apply and use these
oils. Oils and Blends are listed in a random order.  The ones in bold are my favorites. (Young Living Blends are denoted by an
underline).

I like to have a Raindrop treatment, specifically for Immune System support, every month or two.  This is a technique that
involves dropping essential oils on the spine and massaging them in.  I feel that it has helped me stay healthy, despite
traveling and going out in public with all those sick people who are spreading germs.  It is a good way to create an
environment in my body that is very hostile to germs and other nasty microorganisms.  The traditional Raindrop oils include
Oregano, Thyme, Marjoram, Basil, Cypress, Wintergreen, Peppermint, Valor, and Aroma Siez.  I also custom design
Raindrops by choosing oils for each specific person and for myself – depending on what I think is needed that day.

Immune System Building and Support – Lavender, Peppermint, Oregano, Thyme, Lemon, Raven, Melaleuca, Myrrh, Abundance, Exodus II, Immunpower, Thieves.

When I have been exposed to
Colds and Flu – Immunpower, Thieves, Oregano, Thyme, Raven, Eucalyptus, Peppermint, Frankincense, Ginger, Lemon, Melaleuca, Orange.

For various symptoms I use:

Runny Nose –Thieves, Raven, RC.

Coughs  -- Eucalyptus, Frankincense, Lemon, Melaleuca, Peppermint, Thyme, RC, Raven.

Fevers – Lemon, Melaleuca, Peppermint, Raven, Immunpower.

Flu specifically – Immunpower, RC, Raven, Eucalyptus, Fir, Peppermint, Lavender.

Sore Throat – Eucalyptus, Lemon, Ginger, Myrrh, Immunpower, RC, Thieves.

Infection – Geranium.

Swollen Glands – Laurus Nobilis & Oregano.  Gargle with essential oil in warm water.

Respiratory Issues – Basil, Cedarwood, Eucalyptus, Frankincense, Oregano, Peppermint, Thyme, Clove, Fennel, Lemon,
Marjoram, Spruce,
RC, Raven, Sacred Mountain, Melrose, Thieves.

Sinusitis – Eucalyptus, Fir, Ginger, Myrtle, Raven, Basil, Lavender, Marjoram, Peppermint, Pine, Rosemary, Melaleuca, RCRC and Lavender can be rubbed directly into nostril.  I often put Peppermint, Eucalyptus Radiata, and Melaleuca Alternifolia in a gel cap and take it, with water, several times a day.  This combination really helps clear my sinuses.

Earaches – Chamomile, Lavender.

InfectionImmunpower, Melrose, Purification, Lavender, Melaleuca (I have rubbed inside bowl of ear as well as around the
outside of the ear and down onto neck.  Do
not drop oils directly into ear canal.)

Stomach AchesLavender, Peppermint, Rosemary, Di-Tone.  I rub on a few drops on my tummy, put drops in water and
drink, put drops in a gel cap and take with water.

Nausea – Clove, Fennel, Ginger, Melissa, Peppermint, Sandalwood.  Rub on tummy.

Application and Usage:  When I am using oils for boosting the immune system or combating an illness I rub them on feet and up the spine, add them to hot bath water, and diffuse them into the air.  Inhaling the oils through steaming (not boiling)
water, a diffuser, or simply smelling out of the bottles is excellent for respiratory problems, as is rubbing oils on throat and
chest.  I rub
Raven on my chest (and inhale it, too) every morning, just before my shower.  Caution!!  Use the “hot” oils of
cinnamon, Oregano, Thyme, and
Thieves in small amounts or diluted in a pure massage or vegetable oil.  Do not add water to
tone down the heat, it adds to it!

I started out with one or two oils to help my immune system and have built up a small collection over the years.  My favorites
are
Thieves, Immupower, Thieves, Oregano, Thieves, Thyme, Thieves, Lavender, Lemon, and Thieves.  (OK, so you
can see which one I like and use the most for this!)  You may find that others become your favorites.  Read, research, and refer
to additional sources for added information.
