Notes on Essential Oils Safety Data
 
 
It is recommended in some reference books that certain ‘conditions’ and certain oils do not go together.  Here is a list of oils
to use with caution or to avoid if one has certain conditions.  If in doubt, please check reference books or contact an
aromatherapist or medical practitioner.
 
Avoid while using or after using Alcohol:
 
  -  Clove (Abundance, En-R-Gee, ImmuPower, Legacy, Melrose, PanAway, Thieves)
 
 
If Diabetic avoid:
 
  -  Angelica and the blends that contain it (Forgiveness, Grounding, Harmony, Legacy, Live with Passion, Surrender)

 
If susceptible to Epilepsy
 
- Use with caution – small amounts or in dilution:
 
  -  Dill (Legacy)
  -  Fennel (Di-Tone, Dragon Time, Juva Flex, Legacy, Mister)
  -  Lavandin (Purification, Release)
 
- Avoid:
 
  -  Basil (Aroma Siez, Clarity, Legacy, M-Grain)
  -  Birch
  -  Hyssop (Exodus II, Harmony, ImmuPower, Legacy, Relieve It, White Angelica)
  -  Nutmeg (Acceptance, Humility, Inner Child, Legacy, Live with Passion, Present Time)
  -  Rosemary cineol (Clarity, En-R-Gee, JuvaFlex, Legacy, Melrose, Purification, Thieves)
  -  Rosemary verbenon (Legacy)
  -  Sage (EndoFlex, Envision, Legacy, Magnify Your Purpose, Mister)
  -  Tarragon (Di-Tone, Legacy)
  -  Wintergreen (Legacy, PanAway, Raven)
 
If one has High Blood Pressure
 
- Use with Caution – small amounts:
 
  -  Peppermint (Aroma Siez, Clarity, Di-Tone, Legacy, M-Grain, Mister, PanAway, Raven, RC, Relieve-It)
  -  Rosemary verbenon (Legacy)
  -  Thyme (Legacy)
 
- Avoid:
 
  -  Hyssop (Exodus II, Harmony, ImmuPower, Legacy, Relieve It, White Angelica)
  -  Rosemary cineol (Clarity, En-R-Gee, JuvaFlex, Legacy, Melrose, Purification, Thieves)

If using Homeopathic remedies it is good to avoid:
 
  -  Peppermint, Black Pepper, Camphor, and Eucalyptus
 
If Pregnant
 
- Use with Caution – small amounts or in dilution:

Some oils can possibly result in Contact Sensitization (redness/irritation of skin due to repeated application of the
oil – rotate or use different oils):

Repeated application of some oils can possibly result in Extreme Contact Sensitization of skin (rotate between
different oils):

  -  Cassia (Abundance, Exodus II)
  -  Cinnamon Bark (Christmas Spirit, Exodus II, Gathering, Legacy, Magnify Your Purpose, Thieves)
  -  Citronella (Legacy, Purification)
  -  Clove (Abundance, En-R-Gee, ImmuPower, Legacy, Melrose, PanAway, Thieves)
 
 
Some oils cause Photosensitivity (direct exposure to sunlight after use could cause dermatitis to the area the oils
were applied to):
 
  -  Angelica (Forgiveness, Grounding, Harmony, Legacy, Live with Passion, Surrender)
  -  Ginger (Abundance, Di-Tone, Legacy, Live with Passion, Magnify Your Purpose)
  -  Mandarin (Citrus Fresh, Joy, Legacy) 

 
Some oils cause Extreme Photosensitivity:

  -  Orange (Abundance, Christmas Spirit, Citrus Fresh, Envision, Harmony, Inner Child, Legacy, Peace & Calming, SARA)

 
Some oils could possible result in Skin Irritation (dilution may be necessary):
