Floral waters are created when plant materials are distilled to make essential oils.  During the distillation process, the
essential oil separates from the water.  Once the oil is ‘skimmed off’, the leftover water has quite a fragrant smell.  This floral water, or hydrosol, also contains homeopathic properties of the original plant.   Lavender Floral Water is very calming.  It is also very soothing to the skin.  I like to spray it on my pillow at night to help slow my busy mind down, so I can drift off to sleep.  I spray it on Zeus, our lovely Rottweiler to help him relax and sleep more calmly (if I forget, he often dream-runs and moves around a lot when sleeping).  It also makes him smell lovely (to me, at least!).  I use Lavender Floral Water as a base when I make face and body lotions for its nourishing properties.  It imparts a nice, relaxing aroma when diffused or sprayed around a room.    For more information email Nancy Cebula or call her at 303.499.1607.
