Peace and Calming is a lovely blend of oils that have historically been used to reduce depression, anxiety, stress and
insomnia.  This blend has been used as a healthy alternative to Ritalin for hyperactive children.  It also may reduce tensions and uplift one’s spirits.   I like to use it at the end of a stressful day to help me relax and get to sleep.   I have used Peace and Calming on my grand-dog, Emma.  Emma is a bit hyperactive (understatement!).  When she gets particularly excited, I rub Peace and Calming on her ears or paws.  She then slows her pace and is much nicer to be around!  When we have horses that are confined to their stalls to recover from injury or illness, I often massage Peace and Calming on their ears to help them stay calm.  I have friends who put it on their dog’s ears during thunderstorms to help alleviate panic and ‘thunder-terror.’     Peace and Calming contains:     -  Cistus     -  Ylang Ylang     -  Blue Tansy     -  Patchouly     -  Tangerine     -  Orange     Suggested applications:  Apply under the nose, back of neck, on the feet.   For insomnia, it can be applied to the navel, feet, back of neck (adding lavender enhances the effect).  When feeling particularly stressed, I have been known to simply open the bottle and sniff.  Mix with oil for a full body massage.  For snoring, rub on bottoms of feet at bedtime.   This is a great oil to diffuse.  To soothe a fussy toddler, I have friends who massage a drop on the bottom of each of the little one’s feet and on their pillow at nap and bedtime.  They report that it works well and they relax too!  I have bathed in it too, but only use three or four drops – it is powerful stuff!  For animals, Peace and Calming can be massaged on the edges of their ears and on the bottoms of their feet.   For more information email Nancy Cebula or call her at 303.499.1607.
