The essential oil of Sandalwood is high in sesquiterpenes, which have been shown to have an ability to stimulate the pineal
gland and the limbic region of the brain, which is the center of emotions.  Sandalwood may be helpful for depression and nervous tension, in addition to helping with meditation.  It has been known to help with physical issues, such as sciatica, acne, circulation, coughs, hiccoughs, and skin infections.  It is known for supporting the lymphatic and nervous systems.   Sandalwood may enhance deep sleep and may help in the removing of negative programming from the cells of the body.      Suggested Application:   Sandalwood can be diffused or applied topically to the area of concern.  I apply it to the Vita Flex or Reflexology points on my feet.  I put a drop in a hand, rub both hands together, hold my hands to my nose and inhale – an efficient way to get Sandalwood into the limbic area of the brain quickly.   To help when emotions are overactive, Sandalwood can be applied to the temples, base of spine, and the big toes.  To help with fear, Sandalwood can be applied to the Third Eye region, midline just above eyebrows between hypothalamus and sinus.   For more information email Nancy Cebula or call her at 303.499.1607.
