This very sweet-smelling essential oil comes from a different geranium than the ones we are used to seeing in planter boxes
all summer long.  It ha been used for many years for skin care, wound care, inflammation, and heavy menstrual flow.  Geranium is also known for its ability to help the body regenerate nerves and soft tissue and deal with painful nerves.  It has a reputation for easing stress and tension due to nervousness.    I use Geranium when I make lotions and in my baths.  It makes my skin feel soft and smooth.  I have also used it as a deodorant.  It works well with other oils, so is useful when making blends for different wellness issues.  It is lovely in perfume blends.   My mother, who has diabetic neuropathy, massages Geranium on her feet every night before bed.  She likes the way it relaxes her and it makes her feel that she is doing something to stave off the debilitating effects of advanced neuropathy.   I have put a drop of Geranium on a cut, as it has some ability to slow and stop bleeding.  It stings a little, but I find that the bleeding does indeed stop.   For more information email Nancy Cebula or call her at 303.499.1607.
