Frankinsence
  Home
Frankincense is one of my favorite essential oils and is one of the most powerful essential oils I know of.  Frankincense has a
very high frequency and helps us to raise ours -- thus helping us to connect on a more spiritual level.  It has been used for many
centuries as an integral part of religious rituals and is considered a very holy oil. It is known for raising spiritual awareness and
for helping with meditation.

Frankincense is known to be very good for brain function and oxygenating the pineal and pituitary glands.  This is due to the
fact that it contains sesquiterpenes, which enable it to go beyond the blood brain barrier.

Historically, Frankincense has been used for many conditions, including:  allergies, bites (snake and insect), cancer, colds,
diphtheria, headaches, herpes, high blood pressure, inflammation, laryngitis, prostate problems, spiritual awareness, staph,
strep, stress, tension, typhoid, wounds, and warts.  It is also known to be good for the skin.  This is a very versatile essential oil!

Applications:

When I have a headache, I inhale Frankincense and massage a little on my temples and the nape of my neck.  It also helps me
to wake up and concentrate when I am feeling a bit drowsy.  I use a drop or two to enhance the properties of other oils.  I have
used it to help my body deal with an ovarian cyst, uterine fibroid tumor, and remove a suspicious mole (in combination with
several other oils, including Lavender and Melrose).

One of my favorite detoxifying, nourishing, and relaxing baths is to fill the tub with hot water, add 1/2 to 1 cup, each, of baking
soda and sea salts, add 6-12 drops of lavender essential oil and 3 drops of Frankincense essential oil.

I put if everywhere - bottoms of feet, back of neck, temples, on affected areas, etc.
