Aromatics & Massage LLC is a small business located in sunny Boulder, Colorado.  The focus of this business is
essential oils (aromatherapy) and integrative massage.  Nancy Cebula, owner, is a certified massage therapist who holds a Masters Degree in Organization Management.  Aromatics & Massage has relationships with many other body workers and healers, including reflexologists, acupuncturists, nutritionists, and sports and specialized massage therapists (such as deep tissue/pain and injury experts).  This allows Ms. Cebula to make referrals so that clients get the treatment that is best for them.   In addition to extensive training in aromatherapy, Nancy is trained in integrative massage, specific injury treatment, table shiatsu, comfort touch, hot stones massage, pre-natal massage, and modified strain/counterstrain.  Professional development is important to Ms. Cebula.  She is continually learning and improving her skills in the areas of massage and aromatherapy.  She just returned from a week long intensive training program on “The Art of Phenomenal Touch” and is now incorporating this into her work.   Nancy has been working as a change agent since the 1970's, from early work as a juvenile probation officer to large systems work as an organization development consultant and now individual work as a massage therapist.  She is a co-author of the book Futures that Work: Using the Search Conference to Revitalize Companies, Communities, and Organizations.  She is a contributing author in the book People in Charge:  Creating Self Managing Workplaces (Robert Rehm, Hawthorn Press, 1999).  She is currently writing articles on essential oils and massage.  Look for publication soon!   Giving back to the community is another important part of Nancy’s life.  She is the Past-President of the Colorado Business and Professional Women’s Education Foundation, a non-profit organization whose mission is to help women attain self-sufficiency through education.  She also serves on the board of Equi-Rhythms, a non-profit working with at-risk adolescents and horses and is a Project Leader with Aspen Leaf Riders 4H Club.  Every month, she donates about 5% of her pre-tax earnings to the Co BPW Education Foundation for a scholarship she created in memory of her son-in-law, SFC Daniel Aaron Romero, who was killed in action while serving in the Special Forces in Afghanistan.   Nancy's Philosophy

Essential oils are the cornerstone of a wellness-enhancing practice.  Humans have used the fragrant plant-based oils for many centuries, as perfume, as medicine, and to prevent illness and disease.  When archeologists opened up King Tutankhamon’s tomb in Egypt, they found alabaster jars full of well-preserved essential oils.  In the succeeding centuries, the use of essential oils has been lost and re-discovered many times.  Now, as we are in the early part of the 21st Century, there is an increased interest in how we can use essential oils to enhance our wellness, purely and simply.   Even though people have been using essential oils to enhance their wellness for centuries now, I only discovered them several years ago and have been using them enthusiastically ever since.  In fact, my interest in the oils led me to massage school.  I now have a wonderful massage practice, human and equine, based on these healing plant oils and floral waters.   I only use essential oils and floral waters from therapeutic grade organically grown or wild-crafted plants.  If one wants to experience more than just the scents, which are lovely, finding good quality oils is essential, so to speak!  Once one discovers the intense aromas and deep healing qualities of therapeutic grade essential oils, one will never go back to the store and buy the inexpensive oils found there!  Even the horses I work with can tell the difference between high quality and lesser quality oils!   I created this website to share my enthusiasm and knowledge about these wonderful, aromatic oils.   |
